send HTML Files directly to a server

Postby Guest » Mon Oct 16, 2006 11:04 pm

Hello,

I found your site today while searching for a solution of this:

We have School System which is totally blocked except Email Traffic. We want to publish a bunch of HTML files (School Agenda) every day on a WebServer (outside/Internet). The best would be if this could happen automatically.

Can Autosend handle this?

I appreciate your Help,
Jojo

Hi Jojo

Yes it is possible. Just install a version of autosend on your web server. Share the www folder of the webserver as the upload directory and that's it!
Then just send our updated html files to autosend with subject "?put" and they will be reflected on the web server.

hi Pa
thanks for answering. I'll give it a try, but i guess the web server is not configurable by us. I think we just rent some webspace there.

Then you can set up the autosend server on any PC on internet. Upload the html pages there then send a command through autosend which will upload the new pages to the webserver by FTP (create a .bat file that will be triggered by autosend).
This is also possible!
